As the northern-most community, Oskaloosa is a quick 30 minute drive north from Ottumwa. Companies like the nationally recognized Musco Lighting,  who provides lighting for professional sporting venues, the Superbowl, and even the Olympics, call Oskaloosa home. The city is entering its 19th year of being a Tree City USA. Oskaloosa Trees Forever holds yearly plantings, hands out trees to children, and works with Mid American’s Plant Some Shade program to help spread awareness for conservation in and around the city.
